Hello Linda! Hope everything is great. I get so many compliments about
Guffman. I have been told he is one of the best looking Cavaliers by a number of
people and I have to agree...I love him to death. He now sleeps with me and likes
to migrate toward my neck and face during the night. He knows how to sit and
come pretty well and we are working on laydown. He also understands the bells
on the door stand for outside and he understands "eat" for dinner and "inside"

Hi Linda! I hope your all well. We love Lucy more everyday, she is the center of
attention where ever we take her. I signed Lucy up for puppy kindergarden today, she
has her first class on the 25th of September. She is doing very well, as you can tell

Hi Linda- We just love her!!! She is doing great and is so friendly and sociable.
She is doing great with the kids, she slept the whole way in her crate on the
airplane and then on Kirk's lap for the hour ride home in the car. I'll write more

Dear Linda-
I wanted to write and tell you how much we are enjoying our Cavalier puppy,
Rudy. Rudy is now a year and a half old and he is the most wonderful dog I have
ever had. I call Rudy,”The dog of a thousand smiles”, because every person who
meets him smiles really big! He was easy to potty train and has been wonderful
with my two other cocker spaniels, Fancy and Hollie. Rudy is kind, loving and
snuggly. He is energetic and loves to play with his toys and tennis balls. I could
not have asked for a better dog in regards to temperament and attitude. He is
absolutely wonderful with my daughter Devan, who is six years old. The most fun
thing about Rudy is that he loves other dogs. Almost all of our friends have dogs,
and Rudy loves it when they come over to play. He is like a little kid, and wants
his doggy friends to stay and play as long as possible. His friends come in all
breeds, from a schnauzer, fox terrier, several labs, pugs, Scotties and other
cocker spaniels. Did I also mention that Rudy has developed to a perfect breed
standard? But I did choose to get him neutered, so he would not mark things
around the house and leave his dog girl friends alone. I feel that neutering is the
only good decision to make when not breeding a male puppy, it allows them to
become a wonderful family pet instead of focusing their time on wanting or
attempting to breed. This makes them a calm and well balanced family pet. Rudy
is a wonderful addition to our family and we could not love him more. Thank you
for a wonderful family pet, and for all your efforts to produce healthy and top
quality puppies! We could not love him more!

Beautiful and healthy pups
I did a lot of research to find a beautiful and healthy puppy. Linda
was very forthcoming with health information and documentation
that I requested on the dog. She answered all my questions, and put
my mind at ease. She conducted herself in a very professional
manner, and did what she said she would do. But, the proof is in the
pudding! I got my puppy, and he is amazing. He is so social, and
loving, and BEAUTIFUL! My five year old is so happy because the
dog is so gentle and sweet with him. I took my new dog to my vet,
and she said he is a beautiful, and healthy dog. I highly recommend
Linda's dogs, and hope to purchase another in the future. You can

My wife Linda and I already owned two young adult Cavalier King Charles
Spaniels and love this breed, and we were looking to add a black and tan girl to
our home, and were glad when we found Linda and Marvin Hahn and their Cavs
last Spring.
I am a small animal veterinarian, and also an exhibitor of bullmastiffs, and I'm
very picky about whom I choose to obtain an animal from.

Here are Moose and Beau. The fleece blanket is Beau's and he drags it all around the
yard to lay on, well Moose, had no trouble getting cozy on it too. It was really cute,
Moose drug it around and got comfy on it, thenBeau came over, pulled a corner out
and settled on it.
They are getting along just great. Moose is following Beau like a younger sibling,
wanting to be with his big brother. And Beau is very good, he will dangle the toy over
Moose so he can get a hold of it and play tug of war, of course, Beau just stands there,
while Moose pulls. When it comes out of Moose's mouth, Beau brings it back so
Moose can get a grip again.
We are really enjoying him. Thank you so much!!

Hope you are doing well! We are having so much fun with George. He is wonderful
and does the most funny and adorable things! He almost housebroken and loves to
play. We took him to meet our vet yesterday and he was very healthy and 5 pounds

HI Linda,
Fiona slept all the way home inside my coat. She crawled all the way up inside my
sleeve at one point..LOL. When we got home we introduced the other 2 dogs to
her. They still are not warming up too well to her. They are pouting. Then today my
2 sisters came for a visit with their purebred dogs..a Keeshond and an Australian
shepherd. Fiona had so much fun with them. Everyone had to hold and love her.
She was soooo cute and funny!!! I just love her to bits! She is so very precious!
She had so much fun she came up to me to hold her and she immediately fell
asleep. So much so that I had to put her in her bed and she was so heavy. I have
her trained when I say "let's go potty" she does her business. She is so very, very
smart!! I am amazed how smart she is and fast learner!
She is not afraid of the vacuum cleaner. She has her toys and bed. I have her
sleeping next to me on the floor in her bed. Although...hee hee...last night I had her
sleeping next to me. I just love her so much!
Thanks again Linda for allowing me to have Fiona in my life! Even though we
emailed through this whole process I still feel like I had a friend when I finally met

with your puppy packet. She took copies of all the certificates that you gave me.
She read over the reports. She said that she liked your breeding practices and she
took a copy of your card. She said if you didn't mind she would like to refer other
cavalier lovers to you as you have honesty and integrity. Not to mention healthy
puppies. Her assistants told her she "had the world's cutest puppy waiting for her
in the exam room". Fiona charmed everyone as she always does. Everyone at my
job fell in love with her. One friend did not want to give her back. LOL Like me, no
one had even seen or heard of this breed of dog.
We see Dr. Fay again on the 27th. She said she agreed with your vet's
recommendations on the shots. She said we will spay Fiona in April.

Fiona had her 1 year check up in Feb.. The vet said she had a good bite. She was
also very healthy and clear eyes. Her heart was sound and knees good. My vet
said she wished all breeders practiced the open and honest practice of raising
puppies like you do.
We were looking at your new puppies. They are cute. We are seriously thinking
about getting another tri. Please let me know when you are expecting another litter.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!! We absolutely LOVE baby Alice!!!!! We
didn't think there could be a dog cuter than Bella, but Alice fits right in....She is really
smart and somewhat feisty, but has fit in perfectly with our family. Bella has taken to

schedule of eating, playing and sleeping. It's so much easier with two! Thank you,

Also, a big gigantic thanks for your snowy drive to the airport to get her on the plane

enrolled into an insurance program. She also seems to have learned her name, and
is doing very well learning not to go potty in the house. Thank you again for letting

First time I've checked my email today, so you know I've been distracted by
something -- Lucy.
Lucy did not like the cardboard box at all, and spent the whole trip back to Eugene
on Kate's lap. We stopped in Newport (we went south to avoid any chance of ice) to
give Lucy a bathroom break, but she didn't seem to understand -- she made the
whole three-and-a-half hour trip without relieving herself. Kate (with Lucy on her lap)
was grateful and impressed.
Lucy didn't want to be shut unto the crate last night and barked for a solid 30
minutes. Kate took the brunt of it -- Lucy slept in her crate in Kate's room. Kristin and
I had warned Kate that we had to leave her and her brothers in their cribs while they
cried themselves to sleep -- that it would be very difficult for her, but it would be the
best thing in the long run. She toughed it out and Lucy fell asleep. She woke up once
at ~3 AM for a potty break (and fussed for 10 minutes when she was shut into the
crate again afterwards), but then slept in until 8:30. When the door was open on the
crate today, Lucy cheerfully went in and out of it and actually took naps in it a couple
of times, so she apparently wasn't too traumatized. She seems to regard it as her den.
By this afternoon, Lucy seemed to have figured out that we liked it when she went
potty outside, and made six trips in a row (every time she woke up from a nap) out to
the backyard, with no in-house accidents. Just before I put her to bed tonight, I
asked her to go out one last time. Earlier, she'd been excited to see the leash and
came running to put it on. But it had been progressively darker and colder and wetter
and this time it was clear that she didn't want to come out of her crate to go outside. I
was proud of her that she came out anyway and did (very quickly) relieve herself and
we jetted back into the house.
My relatives, who arrived for a 3-day visit today, were all charmed by Lucy. Along
with all the usual puppy goofiness, she bounces around the room and sometimes
runs sideways, like a crab. Everyone thinks she's adorable.
That's the report for now. We'll keep you posted, but the first 24 hours were even
better than we'd hoped.

What can I say....we just love her...She is so people orientated...Loves also, playing
with other dogs...they are usually so much bigger, but that does not stop her from
chasing them...Potty training, one forgets...she certainly lets us know, but that also
means to quickly get up and run to the door...and I mean run.....Trying also to get
her trained to a crate...We are gone at different times and do not want to leave her
unspervised in the house..We have forgotten just how much fun and love they
share...She is sooooo cute...We are go glad we ran into you in Heppner...Will keep

with other dogs...they are usually so much bigger, but that does not stop her from
chasing them...Potty training, one forgets...she certainly lets us know, but that also
means to quickly get up and run to the door...and I mean run.....Trying also to get
her trained to a crate...We are gone at different times and do not want to leave her

Hi Linda,
I have been meaning to write for 2 days. I am so crazy about Bailey there aren't
enough words to express. He is so sweet and playful, and so good. He is doing
really well with his potty training. The accidents have been my fault for not paying

I just wanted to email you to let you know how Gemma was fitting in to
her new home. I am glad to say that everything is going really great. She
is such a "go with the flow" dog. She sat quietly all the way on the drive
home and then slept on Katie's lap at night watching TV. She then ran
around outside and got some exercise before sleeping through the whole night
on her first night here. I have never had a dog sleep through the first
night. We were prepared to wake up all the time and were surprised that we
didn't have to. Her visit at the vet went great too. She was a healthy 6
pounds and the vet said everything looked good.
Gemma is also fitting in great with our cat and our black lab. We were
a little concerned our lab would be over excited around her, but he is
really sweet around her. They enjoy running around together.
We really enjoy having her. She is so easy and enjoys just being around
us. It is really a kick to watch her run around and spin in circles when
she plays. We couldn't be happier.
Thanks again for all your help. We will stay in touch and continue to send
pictures.

It's been too long since we were last in touch. I wanted to let you know how Gemma is doing.
Needless to say, she is fantastic. What a great little dog. I remember how we were going back and
forth on whether to get her or the tri-color. We are very happy with the decision we made. She turned
one a couple months back and we can't believe how the time has flown by.
Gemma has turned out to have quite the spaniel in her. Her hunting instincts are amazing and this is
coming from a life long lab owner. She has all the wonderful cavalier personality traits (friendly,
outgoing, happy go lucky, etc.), but it is really neat to see her track that tennis ball down. She will
retrieve for hours if you let her. She even out retrieves our lab. If we go out on a walk, those birds
never knew what hit them. She really wants to "flush" them. On top of that, we had a tracking game
designed for our lab to use his nose. We dragged a duck scented rag through the park and woods.
Gemma found is much faster and never once got off the scent. She actually got out of her harness at
the park the other day and was after those geese faster than the blink of an eye. We tracked her down
and tightened the harness up after that. She is definitely evidence that the breed came from bigger
spaniels way back when. But at the same time, she'll curl up when we watch TV. She turned out with
quite the personality. It's hard looking at your website and resisting the urge to get another.

had introduced the travel crate to Panda for short periods of time while in Or , so as soon as he
was put in the crate he slept for 2-3 hrs. after a lunch stop he went right back to sleep. We
got the house fixed to suit both us and him, well------- there are still areas that he thinks he
should be allowed in. Ha! The dog door has worked good with the potty training and the little treat
after hasn't hurt either. Vet appt. next Wed. Richard enclosed a picture,however it might not be
one of the better ones because we are learning , but we will send more and keep in touch. We
enjoyed meeting you and are so impressed with your dogs and the way you run your Breeding
business. I had wanted a CKCS for quite a while but didn't know how to go about finding a reliable
Breeder so I said to myself I will wait for a " sign " and that " sign " came in the parking lot of
Costco with the high recommendation from the couple that had two of your dogs with them. The
next " sign " came when you still had puppies. Hello! Marvin,

adventures (clam digging at the coast, fishing on the Columbia, camping in central Oregon). Presley
even went to summer school while I taught. The students were in pure heaven!
We've bumped into his sister, Gemma, and her owners out here. Before Steven and I could introduce
ourselves the two pups had circled each other until the leashes were completely tangled- then
Steven and I made the connection they were from the same litter. It was a pretty funny site!
I've attached a few of mine and Presley's highlights from the past few months to this email.

Thank you so much for everything! It was very nice to finally meet you and Marvin.
Just wanted you to know Moxie was a perfect girl at the airport and on the plane. Her carrier
was at the gate and she did fine in it. She was just a love at the airport terminal and then she
slept all the way home on the plane, cuddled up with the stuffed cavalier. I got her some water
right after we got through security and my husband had a little bowl of ice water for her in the
car when he picked us up (it's 88 here in the Bay Area today). She had some food as soon as she
got home and then took off exploring and she's been having a ball. The children were waiting at
the door as soon as we got her home and have been playing with her since about 3pm. She's found
all her toys and our backyard. She is currently passed out, napping. . She's just such a joy
Linda, there just aren't words to describe it! We all love her so very much already and truly
can't thank you enough for entrusting us with her.Thank you both again so very very much!

My girlfriend and I are first generation dog owners who had no idea what to expect when buying a
dog. We didn't know what type of food to buy, what toys are safe, or how Cavaliers would adapt
to our lifestyle. After Linda addressed these questions, I felt reassured that a cavalier was the
breed to get. My girlfriend and I went down to see the litter of Emma and Donni and were
thoroughly impressed with the setup Linda had for her dogs. No signs of "puppy-mill" activity ever
showed in her home, dogs, or attitude. Her dogs are more than a business; they are her children
and she treats every one of them with the love and respect any human family member deserves.
Once we left Linda's home, after visiting the new litter, we knew she was the right breeder for us.

Hi Linda,
I am taking an official break from work because I want to tell you how blessed we feel by those
babies. I can hardly stand to be at work-lucky Terry and Skyler are home with the babies. I am
counting the minutes until I get to go home.
Dewey and Dylan are so bright eyed and loving, so cuddly and human focused. It is obvious how
much loving and handling you and your family have devoted to these boys, and it shows. They make
incredible eye contact, with total joy in their hearts.

I am taking an official break from work because I want to tell you how blessed we feel by those
babies. I can hardly stand to be at work-lucky Terry and Skyler are home with the babies. I am
counting the minutes until I get to go home.
Dewey and Dylan are so bright eyed and loving, so cuddly and human focused. It is obvious how
much loving and handling you and your family have devoted to these boys, and it shows. They make
incredible eye contact, with total joy in their hearts.

Well, it's been a whirlwind afternoon! Dash is home now safe and sound and has met his older

he is becoming. He is growing into a perfect little dog who is endearing himself into the hearts of
everyone who meets him. As a first time Cavalier owner, I had no idea he would be such a
charming fellow. He is in puppy class and doing great. He loves his companion Brittany brother and
the two of them are wonderful buddies. I wanted to let you know that one of the best things about
our little guy is the way he has bonded with us and how he has adapted to our day to day life. I
can't tell you how much we love him and what a great addition to our familty he has been. He is
healthy and very happy!

amazing. She cuddled and slept the whole way home. She played with our lab a little last night when

Hi Linda, ShyAnn is the apple of my eye. You are a bar none breeder. She is perfect in every way.
The time you put into the puppies shows. I can clean her ears, trim her nails. Do whatever I need
to and she is calm as can be. I love her already so much. The only problem I have is that my Dad

I have got to say yes I love little Rosco he's doing very good. Has had a few set backs with potty
training as puppies do but he's doing great with his crate training he won't go potty in his crate when
I'm at work and I'm so impressed with him. He sleeps in bed and let's me know when he needs to go
out at night. Today and yesterday we went on walks and you'd never know he's not been on a leash he
does so well and is so friendly with everyone and even other big dogs walking by. He's a good pup he
sure loves to play and cuddle up and even watch tv here and there. I love him and am so happy!!!

Hi Linda,
Mitzi is doing great and the kids are really enjoying having a puppy in the house. We
bought the same insert for our door and she uses it about 95 percent
of the time, she seems to eat about half a cup of kibble in a 24 hour time span.

Hello there, just wanted to say hi and let you know
Rosco had his first vet app. with me to get shots and
he did so good. He is just a funny pup, so energetic
and sweet. He weighs 5.04lbs now he seems so much
bigger. I've gotten lots of pictures of him but he's
always on the move. Everyone tells me how great
looking he is and he loves all people and gets excited
about other dogs but no friends until his vaccinations
are done :o)

cuddled and loved by the staff. I don't think he ever saw the inside of
a kennel lol. He is doing great and about 95% housetrained. He
scratches at the door to go out most of the time. He is just a love bug,
and so gorgeous. We are looking forward to starting training classes
soon for some socialization. He is just a happy sweet puppy that

They are doing really well. They are both sitting on command (only 15 minutes worth of
work over two days to get them to do it) and the potty training is going well. They are so

Taffy loves to take all of the toys out of the toy box and then play inside it. She has also

better with the cold wet grass, but still not a big fan.

I wanted to write and give a day after update on Toby. We've had such a wonderful time with him,
he is so much fun! He is adjusting well to his new surroundings. He's using the dog door without
problems although the humans in the house need a little bit of puppy training. We keep pampering
him by leading him out the door without giving him a chance to show us he can do this on his own. He
loves all the new toys we bought and is adjusting well to his crate and kennel. He just loves the
grass and he loves running and chasing us. He woke up once during the night so Bill took him outside
and sent him back to bed. He likes grazing on his food so its great that he is only eating dry food.
I wish I could sleep as much as he does, he sleeps so peacefully. He's been such a gentlemen since
we brought him home. He doesn't mind a video camera or flash camera in his face either.

Hi Linda!
Sorry it has taken me so long to talk to you. I've been having the best time with my new
family, I love them so much! I have the best big sister, Kali a Lab, who's shown me the
ropes around here. I love playing with her. I usually beat her at tug, but I think she lets me
win. I love my brother Smelly, a big black cat. He likes to sleep with me and give me kisses.
I have been so busy since moving to Seattle! When I got here over Thanksgiving there was
about 6 inches of snow that I loved playing in, but I would sink down and have to be rescued.
Even with a big coat on I couldn't stay out more than a few minutes before they'd make me
come in and warm up. When I went to Christmas I never got to walk because someone was
always holding me. There were so many people there, probably 35 or so, and I got the most
attention! I'm not a big fan of the rain, or so I make my parents think. I made them carry
me out to do my business every time and had them hold an umbrella above me so I wouldn't
get wet. When I did I would get blow dried, which I love. My friend Bailey would let me
spend the night so I could play with her 12 year old owner, Melina. After Bailey died from
old age I went over and helped them out and gave them all lots of kisses, they liked my
company. I think they might get a puppy like me in the future because they like me so much.
This summer has been super busy too! I went on a road trip to Colorado for a week. I love
going on truck rides. My sister and I beg to even just sit in the truck with the door open at
home. I used to try to wonder because I found out I could fit through the gate so my
parents got me a special collar and have so much freedom now. I think my sister is jealous of
my collar, and my boyfriend. My mommy introduced me to a boy named Hank who looks just
like me but bigger. We have a lot of fun going on walks together with our Mommies. I'm
really popular. At school I'm not only the cutest, but the smartest so everyone loves me. I
love learning new tricks like playing dead and spinning in different directions. My daddy races
karts and his friend races motor cycles so I like to go with them a lot and watch. I have a
lot of friends at the race track, too, so my parents made me my very own facebook page!

your family raised her from day 1. Not only did you breed
an exceptional puppy but you raised her in your family as
your own so the adoption went seemlessly. If you ever

After the passing of our beloved Cavalier Calvin last year, we discovered Linda Hahn and
Candyland Cavaliers through her website after searching for breeders in the Pacific NW. We
were drawn to Candyland as you could tell she truly loves the dogs and the breed. She returned
all emails promptly and answered all of our questions. She also "checked us out" to make sure
that her pups would be heading to a loving home. After ascertaining that a litter was on the way,
we made a visit to Linda's home in Tillamook when our potential new family member was about 3
weeks old. What we found was a clean well kept home with beautiful happy healthy dogs and pups
with great dispositions. (Senior Dog Gracie was especially sweet!). All have good social skills and
you could tell Linda and her husband Marvin indeed love the dogs. Our daughter held one of
Dancer's tri male pups on her chest and that was that - our new Cav "Murphy". We also visited
the other litter of pups, a week younger, from beautiful Roo and I could read my wife's mind as
she held a little Blenheim girl. A few days later one pup had morphed into 2 ! We confirmed the
second from the pictures Linda provided. Linda kept us updated with photos each week as the pups
grew and let us know how they were developing and what they were like.
Finally the big day came and we went to Tillamook get the new members of the family, Murphy,
the Tri male, and Tilly, a petite blenheim female. Linda was great, prepared with all the
paperwork, veterinary records, pedigree, microchip info etc. and instructing us how to register
them on the AKC website. She also had prepared a bag for each puppy containing toys, a
blanket, food, coupons for discounts, and even bottled water from their home well system to help
the pups tranistion to our city water system. We have stayed in touch with Linda and sent updates
and pictures the first few weeks. She has been helpful in answering our questions. The pups went
to our vet yesterday for second round shots and the vet commented that they were very healthy
and well adjusted "calm" dogs. At home, they are great little Cavaliers. They wrestle, chase
and tumble with each other, play tug o' war, fetch, and generally entertain us with their puppy
cuteness and energy. Then they crash and cuddle up with you as Cavs typically do. They were
already oriented to going outside to potty, and despite a few accidents, housetraining is going
well.
We could not be happier with our decision to buy our puppies from Candyland. Linda is very
professional and personable and that shows through in these terrific puppies.

Hi,
I took Roxie to the vet. She is of course wonderful and healthy. She is going to get
rabies shot at the end of September. I registered with AKC and the microchip and
found a source for the ear treatment you recommend and the Touch of Mink shampoo.
We have been to the dog park a couple of times and she does great. She sleeps in
her crate all night. We have a rhythm going for potty and that is going amazingly
well. She walks on a lead fairly well and is so responsive to “come”. What a sweet
heart. You did a great job with her. We are very happy. She is bringing in pine cones
since there are no rocks. She loves green beans and frozen peas (I am using these for
treats).

I am sending some pix of him to let you see how handsome
he has become. I love him so much. His temperament is
terrific and is really sweet loverboy. But not to say he is
perfect,because he is really mischievous! Basically like our
older dog was when young, he is also a thief & pirate. He
can almost jump up on the cabinets and he found a way to
get out of the yard. He has destroyed my glasses, a hat,
SD cards, books and basically anything he can get his
mouth on! He loves to hide our TV remote. Despite his
little incursions we love him more madly everyday. No
regrets here, hes perfect.
